For some courses, you'll need to complete a number of assignments as part of your coursework. Unless stated otherwise, you will submit completed coursework online through the Student Community.
Some assignments, like essays or projects, will be marked by your tutor. Others, like multiple choice tests, will be marked automatically.
Assignments are a great way of checking your progress throughout the course: your tutor will give you constructive feedback so you know exactly how you're doing and how you can improve.
As always, your tutor will guide you through the process and make sure you’re ready before you complete the assignment.
You may also be required to take a final assessment at the end of each module, depending on the course you have chosen. This could take the form of coursework, an essay, a practical workshop or an exam.
You can check how your course will be assessed on the course page under ‘Assessment’.
If your course involves exams, you should contact the relevant awarding body (such as CIPD or AAT) or your local British Council to find out where you can take your exams near you.
Depending on your course, you may have to pay a fee to sit your exam. More information will be available on the individual course page under ‘Additional Fees’.
