After graduating last year, HR was an attractive career choice as I knew I wanted to support both people and organisational performance and could do this in every sector and every country all over the world by working in the people profession.

I had graduated with a Geography degree, so I knew I might have to work harder to get a role within HR than those who had maybe studied a more relevant degree.

This is when I decided to self-fund an online CIPD course; to show my commitment and dedication to the profession which ultimately led to me securing my current role, which I love!

I hope that being CIPD qualified will help me to become more credible in my HR Coordinator role now that I have better trust in myself to perform my role to a high standard. After gaining more experience, I also hope that being qualified will help to reach an HR advisor position.

In the future, I also hope to complete the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma to achieve a manager-level position, and I have no doubt that this will be through ICS Learn.
