CIPD Student Stories: Jasmine Fancy | CIPD Level 5 Diploma

Jasmine had switched careers from a teacher to HR professional, and wanted to ensure she had the qualifications to back up her working experience.

Having previously worked as a Teacher, I considered studying for a Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management as I made a career move into HR. Having looked at job adverts and the course content, I felt the Diploma would support me in securing a role, alongside enabling me to apply my knowledge in the workplace.

I had originally signed up with a different provider, but I didn’t like the structure of their programme or the user experience. This led me to cancelling this provider, and moving over to ICS Learn.

It allowed me to work around my lifestyle and any events I had going on. I also felt the portal was very user-friendly and the information was very clear.

All my submissions were marked in advance of the deadline which exceeded my expectations. Any course changes or meeting changes were communicated in advance also.

I feel that my qualification has opened doors in my future career plans, allowing me to demonstrate my knowledge to my current and any future employers. It shows that I am committed to my own professional development.

I currently work as People Services Administrator for a food production company, and feel ready to progress in my career supported by the learnings from ICS Learn and the Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management.
