CIPD Level 5 Intermediate courses are a great choice if you have some L&D experience and want to move into a mid-level L&D management or advisory role. 

They're also suited to you if you’re new to L&D but have a university degree and want to begin your studies at a higher level.

CIPD Level 7 Advanced courses are for you if you have significant L&D or HR experience or an HR degree. They'll give you the high-level strategic skills you need to manage the L&D function at a senior level.

The comprehensive Level 7 Diploma in HR Development covers a variety of HR and L&D modules, while the shorter Level 7 Certificate in HR allows you to choose only the L&D modules, if you prefer.

At each CIPD Level, there are three lengths of qualification to choose from.

CIPD Diplomas are the most comprehensive CIPD courses at each level and take the longest to complete. They cover all areas of L&D, giving you well-rounded generalist and specialist knowledge that will serve you well in a wide variety of roles.

CIPD Certificates consist of selected modules from the full Diploma. They're slightly shorter in length, but still cover the core subjects in detail, and are a great choice if you’re looking to gain essential L&D knowledge in less time.

A CIPD Award is an individual module from the Diploma studied as a standalone course. They give you in-depth knowledge of a narrow subject area and are ideal if you’d like to specialise in a specific area of HR or L&D such as OD&D or leadership development.
